CPL launches the Mental Health Awareness Week Timetable
Castle Point Leisure (CPL) is thrilled to announce the launch of its Mental Health Awareness Week Timetable, taking place from May 13th to 19th, 2024. All of the Mental Health events are free to attend. This week-long initiative aims to shine a light on the importance of mental health and well-being within the Castle Point community.
“Mental health is an essential part of overall health and well-being,” says Josh Fairbairn, Health and Fitness Manager at Castle Point Leisure. “We believe that everyone deserves to have access to resources and support to help them maintain good mental health.”
The Mental Health Awareness Week Timetable will feature a variety of events and activities designed to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote mental well-being. These events will be open to the public and will offer opportunities for people to learn more about mental health, connect with others, and participate in activities that promote mental well-being.
A Focus on Community
This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week at CPL will focus on fostering a sense of community and togetherness. Research has shown that social connection is vital for good mental health, and CPL hopes to create a space where people can feel supported and connected.
The week’s events will include:
Informative workshops: Experts will lead workshops on topics such as sleep management, mindfulness, and fitness for mental health.
Social activities: There will be opportunities for people to connect with others through social events, such as group walks or art therapy sessions.
Raising Awareness for a Healthier Castle Point
CPL believes that by raising awareness about mental health, we can create a more supportive and inclusive community for everyone. The Mental Health Awareness Week Timetable is just one way that CPL is working to promote mental well-being in Castle Point.
“We encourage everyone to join us for the Mental Health Awareness Week,” says Jonathan Vadden – General Manager at Castle Point Leisure. “Together, we can make a difference in the lives of people in our community.”
