Runnymede Leisure Centre is based in Benfleet and offers a Swimming Pool, Exercise Studio, Spin Studio and Fitness Suite.

Welcome to Runnymede Leisure Centre

Runnymede Leisure Centre is based in Benfleet behind Castle Point Borough Council Offices. It was extended from a swimming pool to include an Exercise Studio, Spin Studio and Fitness Suite in 2018.

We run a wide range of activities with something to suit everyone at Runnymede Leisure Centre and all our activities are great value for money.

Runnymede Leisure Centre is fully DDA (Disability Discrimination act) compliant and designed for disabled users to access all areas. We have disabled parking available, a Changing Places changing room and pool hoists to help you in and out of the pool.

How to get here

On Foot

Walking routes to the centre can be easily found by selecting ‘walk’ on your usual internet / map search engine functionality. We are a short walk from many residential areas in Benfleet. We encourage our customers to walk or run to our centres as it is a great way to get in your cardio workout before you get to the gym.

By Bike

We have secure bike parking at the entrance to the building.

By Car

We have plenty of free parking available at Runnymede Leisure Centre including disabled access and parking. There is an overflow car park to the back of Runnymede Leisure Centre which can be accessed via Runnymede Chase.

By Bus

The following bus routes go to Runnymede Leisure Centre. 1 / 21 / 25B / 27 / 27A / 28

By Train

Benfleet Station, on the Fenchurch Street line, and Rayleigh station on the Liverpool Street line are the nearest train stations to Runnymede Leisure Centre. Both train stations are not within reasonable walking distance and will require further transport.
