Our newly formed team will be delivering the Castle Point Wellbeing Referral Campaign and will be driven by one goal: enhancing the quality of life and social connection of our local community.
Our job is also to ensure everyone living in Castle Points is aware of the great work and services provided by partners and local charities. If you see us in around Benfleet, Canvey Island, Thundersley or Hadleigh, please come and say Hi!

To start our journey to better health and stronger community connection, the Wellbeing Team has developed a unique and bespoke 6 Week Wellbeing Program designed to help you:
- Improve physical mobility
- Enhance positive mental health
- Build meaningful connections
- Alleviate social isolation
- Reminisce, replay and reconnect

Is This For You?
The 6 Week Wellbeing Program is offered to everyone living in Castle Point who needs support in achieving a better and more connected lifestyle and would like to build friendships and adopt healthier habits. It runs from Monday 17 February until Friday 28 March. All classes are FREE and there are no obligations to commit to regular participation, or to subscribe to a membership.
It is simply a chance to explore, enjoy and improve your wellbeing! Whether you’re looking to move more, feel better, or connect with others, we’ve created something special for everyone in our community.

Rediscover the Joy of Sport with Sporting Memories Weekly Sessions
Do you have a passion for sport and a love for great conversations? Whether you’ve played, watched, or simply enjoyed sports over the years, Sporting Memories offers a welcoming space where you can relive those special moments, share stories, and make new connections.
What is Sporting Memories? Sporting Memories is a friendly and supportive group designed for older adults, especially those who may be feeling isolated or living with conditions like dementia, depression, or loneliness. Our weekly sessions bring people together to chat about sport, enjoy fun activities, and even take part in light physical exercise, all in a relaxed and inclusive setting.
What to Expect at a Session? Every week, our Sporting Memories groups meet to talk about legendary sporting moments—from World Cup victories and Olympic triumphs to local grassroots games that made a lasting impact. Sessions include:
- Sports Reminiscence: Share and listen to amazing sporting memories using photos, newspaper clippings, and videos.
- Light Activities: Keep active with gentle games and exercises suitable for all abilities.
- Friendship & Fun: Meet like-minded people, make new friends, and enjoy a cuppa together.
Who Can Join? Sporting Memories is open to anyone who loves sport, regardless of age or ability. It’s especially beneficial for older adults who want to stay socially connected and active. Whether you were a Sunday league striker, an armchair fan, or just enjoy reminiscing, you’ll feel right at home.
